Staying Motivated
Many people have the problem of sticking with a goal or initiative. It is easy to get started when motivation levels are high, For instance right after New years. How do you stay on track when the initial motivation levels start to drop. We will cover ways to stay motivated towards your fitness goals
How to Stay Motivated
1.Proper Planning
One of the major contributors to failed goals is a lack of planning. You want to lose 10 pounds, gain muscle, look good in a bathing suit or just want to be fitter. Without a concrete plan that will outline how you are going to achieve these goals over the next year, you are already set up for failure.
If you struggle with planning your workouts and creating plans check out our Male & Female Workout plans. Sometimes you need someone to hold you accountable. That is 100 percent normal and we are here to help as you can get great online personal training.
2.Support groups
Find like minded people with similar goals to you! Where can you find these people? The internet is a great resource as you can find forums, channel, blogs and Facebook groups with people who share the same goals. Share your experiences and let others in these groups help to keep you motivated as everyone works towards common goals.
Furthermore, it is not enough to just join a Facebook group. Stay active by participating sharing your story and engaging others when possible. Creating a strong level of engagement can help you stay motivated with your fitness goals.
3. Continue Learning
Learn more about what your are trying to achieve. The more information you have the easier it will be to stay engaged with your goals. Additionally, you will be able to better identify what will work and what will not. There is so much information and clutter so being able to cut through all the noise will be a huge benefit.
4. Share Your Knowledge
As you learn more teach others. This will help to give you a nice sense of satisfaction that you are now in a place where you can help others. It will demonstrate the progress you have made. Lastly, at this point you should be in a place where you are committed to maintaining the progress and looking for ways to keep learning and moving forward.
5. Accountability
Give your self regular check-ins. If you have a goal that covers a year, have a quarterly check in where you review where you are currently at relative to your goals. This is great because you can track if your progress. If you are behind you can evaluate what you need to change. Next, If you have weight loss goals I would not recommend checking the scale everyday as that can be demotivating. Instead set your checkpoints throughout the year. In my opinion accountability is one the most important factors when it comes to keeping your motivation. Especially when things might not be going your way. You will have to react and figure out what do which will get your back on track.
