If you can increase your over-all power to body weight ratio you will increase your vertical jump.
Look at force as the most amount of strength that you have and velocity as the max amount of speed you have. Improve your strength and velocity in ratio to your weight and your vertical will improve.
You can use compound movements like the squat to help increase your strength. Knowing velocity in this case is the speed at which your vertical jump is done. You can use quick movements like the broad jump to help improve your velocity
