Explosive Leg Workout For Athletes

Great explosive Leg Workout with a little bit of upper body. This is an effective way to build strength and conditioning. Use this workout to help elevate your performance.

 

Our full workout was as follows:

5 Sets of Sled push & pull super set with lateral steps

5 sets of box jumps

5 sets of battle ropes – 20 seconds

rope climb for fun

 

Sled push & pull is a great way to improve your strength, power and conditioning. Major muscle groups being worked include your quads, hamstrings and glutes. Sled push mimics running while adding load, which can help you to become a faster athlete as-well. The combination of sled push and pull are one of my favourite exercises for athletes. Make this a regular exercise in your workouts and you will see great results.

Box Jumps are another great exercise for building explosive power. If you are trying to improve your vertical jump box jumps are a great tool to help.

Battle ropes are great for muscular endurance. You can straighten out your arm to target your lats, or bend your arm to target your biceps.
