Hip Internal Rotation

Often times, when people are squatting they are quick to address the importance of external rotation at the hip. This is very important, but so is internal rotation.  Poor internal rotation can make you more prone to the valgus knee fault (knees caving in), and can make it harder to hit depth when squatting. Furthermore, it will also be harder to create torque (force) when squatting with poor internal rotation. With all things considered, you will also be at a higher risk for injury without a good internal rotation.
