Thon Maker is a very talented seven-foot athlete from Sudan. He has been developing his skills at the Athlete Institute in Orangeville, Canada. He is a profficient scorer able to utilize his size down low, or dribble to the hole.
Maker has his eyes set on the highest stage, as he wants to skip college and go straight to the NBA. One major red flag is that he does not meet the league’s minimum age. Additionally, the NBA commissioner Adam Smith will have to make the decision if Maker could be considered one year removed from high school. Maker will need his 2015-2016 year to be recorded as his fifth prep season in order to be considered eligible to enter the draft.
